South Says "Yes" to Openly Gay Mayor, Northeast Says "No" TO Gay Marriage In Maine, Colorado "Yes" To Pot

Mark Kleinschmidt in the 2009 N.C. Pride Parade in Durham.

First, congratulations to openly gay Mark Kleinschmidt for being elected Mayor of Chapel Hill, N.C.

Sadly, a set back for gay rights/civil rights in Maine, when they voted to turn back the hands on gay marriage, but said "Yes" to pot shops. I guess they just want high heterosexuals and straight gays.

Seems like Breckenridge, Colorado might be a good place to live without people telling consenting adults how to live. They voted to legalize pot--not just medical marijuana, but 72 percent voted to legalize it up to one ounce.

It's a wacky world, huh?
